High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Pipe is a product made possible by the latest manufacturing technology.  This technology is being used to manufacture a strong, seamless flexible pipe with one of the highest strength to weight ratios for all drainage products.  In addition to HDPE Pipe, Lane manufactures Corrugated Steel and Corrugated Aluminum Pipe, which enables us to recommend and supply the pipe product that best meets site conditions.  Very few companies have this flexibility in regard to assisting engineers and specifiers in the selection of drainage pipe.

HDPE pipe is regarded by many engineers and agencies as the product of choice for small diameter drainage applications. HDPE has a favorable strength to weight ratio made possible by the combined stiffness of the pipe and soil working together. In addition, HDPE pipe is a chemically inert material that resists the corrosive and abrasive elements found at some pipe sites. The high strength, light-weight, economy, high durability and high hydraulic efficiency of HDPE pipe make it the right choice for many drainage projects.

HDPE Pipe is unique in that there is only one wall configuration for each pipe diameter.  The ASTM and AASHTO specifications do not define specific wall profiles so each manufacturer has slightly different pipe designs.  AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, Section 12, and AASHTO M294 do provide minimum values for pipe dimensional and structural parameters that must be achieved.  Lane meets or exceeds these minimum values.

You can be certain of receiving a quality product if you specify or order HDPE Pipe from Lane Enterprises.  We conduct a quality program that meets all ASTM and AASHTO requirements.  Lane’s plant and pipe have been certified by the Plastic Pipe Institute (PPI) Third Party Certification Program.  All resin materials used in the manufacture of Lane’s HDPE Pipe are 100% virgin resins that have also been certified by the PPI certification program.  In addition, Lane’s pipe has been certified by the Eastern States Consortium (ESC), a quality program established and monitored by 14 Departments of Transportation in the eastern USA.  Quality is built into Lane’s HDPE Pipe.
